Angelina's
Restaurant Review by Marcy Kruchten
From the moment you walk thru the hand held front door to Angelina's, you feel like you are in a restaurant of beauty and importance, and are in for a special treat. The first main attraction is the free standing, two story glassed 5,000 bottle wine cellar. I was told the more expensive bottles were at the top. The ambiance is one of an overall warm feeling with its walnut dark wood floors, dark woodwork throughout with rich fabrics on the dining chairs and booths. Immediately to the left is the large bar area including the black polished baby grand piano. Tickling the keys is native Morrocan born Kary Regrague, their friendly resident pianist. He softly plays background music of all time favorite show tunes to Broadway hits, as well as your special requests, while you listen sitting next to the piano on the red velvet love seat.
Lighting up the bar area is an alabaster L shaped bar that creates a warm honey glow playing off the dark wood and the Venetian and Picassoish paintings.
The main menu is European style Italian. The ala carte menu prices are very reasonably priced for this upscale fine dining restaurant. You may view the complete menu on line.
They offer a Prix Fix Menu of three courses, at a great value. You also can dine in the bar area.
Their staff was very courteous, and well trained. They recommended a very nice choice of wine to accompany our delicious dinner. A wine Sommelier is also available to assist you with your wine selection.
Overall was a feeling of friendly warmth in a polished and relaxed environment. We did come as a guest and leave as a friend, their motto. I would recommend this lush beautifully designed restaurant highly.
